Target Audience: Community-based programs, juvenile justice, law enforcement, school counseling, social services, teachers, school administrators, parents

Presentation Abstract: The presentation, in power point form, is an adaptation from a brochure created by the Office of Juvenile Justice entitled “Parents’ Guide to Gangs”. The goal is to provide parents, and in this seminar, school administrators, social workers and any one else who comes in contact with juveniles, with information to recognize and prevent gang involvement. Information for the power point was taken from this brochure along with photos I have incorporated. In addition to the power point, the actual brochure created by OJJDP will be provided to seminar attendees.

This presentation is based on the brochure created by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention which is a branch of the Office of Juvenile Justice/US Department of Justice. The information provided in this brochure are the points of views or opinions of the Institute fro Intergovernmental Research.
