Presentation Abstract:  This interactive workshop promotes an understanding of the broad principles connected with “Attitude” and how it affects our performance as service providers to juveniles and their families. This workshop is a "must" for teachers, probation officers, police officers, and parents – anyone who works with kids in the disciplines of prevention or intervention service delivery.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Participants will learn to define and recognize the impact attitude has on work environment work performance (behavior) for both staff and clients.
  2. Participants will learn effective strategies for addressing attitude in hiring decisions, supervision of staff and clients, intake assessments, offering guidance to juveniles, and responding to crisis situations.
  3. Participants will experience 3 hands-on Attitude activities to incorporate in their work settings with juveniles.
