Detective Nixon has been a member of the Gainesville Police Department for over 26 years serving various assignments including K-9, Special Operations, and Investigations. He has served on several state and national committees and was the Chairperson for the Florida State Safety Management System Steering Committee for two years. Since 2003 he has served as the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Commander working with Federal, State and local agencies in the northern 51 counties of Florida. He also sits as a National ICAC Working Group member and serves on the IT subcommittee of that group.
