Awards will be given to professionals who have demonstrated outstanding service to youth, particularly youth at risk for problematic behaviors such as delinquency, truancy, academic failure, depression/suicide, gang affiliation, drug use, etc.

 

Awards will be given to one or two professionals in each of the following areas:

 

  Juvenile Probation Officer

  Law Enforcement Officer

  School- based (Guidance Counselor, Teacher, Dean or Principal)

  Youth Social Service Provider (prevention, intervention, commitment, etc)

Deadline to nominate someone for outstanding service: Friday, January 18, 2008. All nominees will be recognized by name and agency during the award ceremony; however, in order for the planning committee to consider the nominee for an award, the nominee must be registered for the conference. The committee will be voting on Tuesday, January 22nd.
